Hardware & Software Compatibility
- Our software resides on our server and does not need to run on or be installed on your computer.
- Our processing does not restrict you to any particular tax filing software.
A few tax filing software packages found in the past to be compatible include:
Drake, Orrtax, Universal Tax Systems (TaxWise), Lacerte, IntelliTax, TaxACT,
TaxWorks, CrossLink, TurboTax, Intuit ProSeries, UltraTax, ... etc.
- We do not have any objection to your use of competitors' bank products for some
taxpayers and our processing for others.
- "My software company says I can only use their banks. - Is that true?"
That depends. IF you purchased a franchise with them (instead of just signing a processing contract), you may be forced to use their banks with higher prices. But for independent businesses, we are by far the best choice.
- You can access the system and perform data entry with a variety of internet browsers
i.e IE, Firefox, or Opera, etc. running on a a variety of operating systems i.e. Windows, Apple, or Linux system, etc.
- Check printing is optimized for Google Chrome browser. However, other browsers may also be used.
- Most any Windows compatible laser or inkjet printer can be used for check printing.
- Only popup and Javascript need to be enabled for check printing. Java is not needed.
- Just like the case for taxpayer payments, you can choose your fee payments to be in the form
of checks or electronic fund transfers. Both account types (checking/savings) are possible.
